DUTIES
1. Facilitate the reporting, recording, analysis and investigation of workplace accident and incidents.
2. Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments
3. Chair health and safety committees
4. Promote health and safety in the workplace through periodic inspection, audits and monitoring health surveillance of workers
5. Training of workers on occupational health and safety and other environmental health related topic i.e fire safety, incident management, waste management etc
6. Promote WASH-Water Hygiene and Sanitation through monitoring and implementing of infection prevention and control, food and water quality monitoring, waste management monitoring etc
7. Control of pest of public health importance
8. Enforcement of legislation for workers health and safety and Public health
9. Disease outbreak investigation and response to determine source of infection
