
My name is Hannes, and I come from Mannheim, Germany, a city of around 300,000 people. Growing up, my dream was always to work in a creative field. I loved drawing, painting, and photography, and creativity has remained an important part of who I am.
My passion eventually led me to the kitchen through a holiday job. From the very first day, I realized how much I enjoyed working with my hands, creating something meaningful, and being part of a dedicated team. That experience inspired me to begin my culinary apprenticeship at Marie Privé, a former Michelin-starred restaurant specializing in classical French cuisine.
Because our team consisted of only four people, I had the opportunity to be involved in every aspect of the kitchen. During my apprenticeship, I built a strong foundation in classical French cooking techniques and learned the importance of working with outstanding ingredients, keeping dishes simple and honest, and maintaining the highest standards every day. Those years taught me not only technical skills but also discipline, responsibility, and attention to detail.
Now, after this valuable experience, I feel ready to take the next step in my career. I am eager to continue learning, challenge myself in a new environment, and grow as a chef while contributing my passion, dedication, and creativity to your team.
