Production of Thermal Roll _ Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

As Maintenance Mechanical Engineer I’m responsible for plant Maintenance and Management hence to ensure the availability and reliability of the manufacturing plant.

• Creating maintenance plan for production of thermal roll machines; (Screw compressor, core feeder machine, slitting machine, package machine.
• Daily, weekly and monthly inspections thermal roll machines.
• Ensure that machines are operated and serviced according to manufacturer standards and according to maintenance plan created.
• Minor service and inspection daily; bleeding moisturized/condensed air from the pneumatic systems.
• Ensure that the machines are operating at the correct pressures,
• Inspection of drive motors, couplings, speed reduction gear boxes, drive belts tension and adjusting where necessary, replacing worn out oil seals.
• Greasing worm gears, spur gears and helical gears, chains, duplex sprocket and idler sprockets.
• Inspection and repair of electro-pneumatic system ; pneumatic cylinders, directional control valves, flow control valves, proximity sensors/switches, pressure regulators, pneumatic fitting.
• Screw Compressor maintenance and service hence changing filters, lubricating oils according to maintenance plan durations.
• Replacing oil leaking seals from speed reduction gearbox, changing air worm out air seals.
• Ensure that the pneumatic systems operates with no water in the system.
• Replacing worn out belts ( v shape belts, poly bets)
• Compiling and documenting production Reliability report
• Coordinated installation of systems, machinery, and components.
• Developed and coordinated effective predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance approaches.
• Created monthly reports of maintenance activity to share with management for operational analysis.

• Determining the most efficient sequence of execution, Allocating resources to the task for all approved work so that is completed at the right time using SAP software.

• Ensuring that correct parts, materials, technical documents, tools and equipment are used following the method, procedure and sequence of job steps specified for achieving the outcome.
• Verifying and recording acceptance standards for completion and handover.

• Communicated with engineering team to discuss methods to improve process and performance.
• Calibrated Gyratory crushers equipment on weekly basis to reduce downtime.
• Involved in planned maintenance duties ( Crusher overhauls)
• Worked closely with engineers and assisted with crushers (gyratory and cone) maintenance.
• Read and interpreted blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
