I volunteer for the engineering projects in Akaflieg to gain hands-on experience in the world of gliders and their flights.

Performed hydrogen loading on metal films using electrochemical loading process for investigating hydrogen-related degradation mechanisms such as hydrogen embrittlement in metals.

• Learned on how to operate the X-ray Diffractometer and optimize the diffraction pattern for the investigation of lattice parameter, in order to analyze the microstructure of metal films.

• Learned on how to operate UHV(Ultra High Vacuum) sputter machine to prepare metal thin films of palladium and niobium on substrates.
• Performed the electrochemical hydrogen loading on the metal films to investigate the defect density.
• Received the safety instructions for working in a lab
