- I got the platform to gain practical experience and a sense of what it means to be part and parcel of an organization under probation contract to work on a six-month temporary basis.
- Reality exposed me to the working pressure of being in company within the Finance Department specifically in the Diary Industry.
- I had to absorb the pressure of having to be versatile as a user of Parmalat's Computer Business System (tailor made finance and accounts program).
- In the Creditors Department chain of command I was tasked as being on the suppliers primary contact on follow up outstanding payments.
- I had a motto to zero out or ensure that above 80% or all Suppliers Invoices were mostly settled.
- As a result, majority of the suppliers had constructive feedback on our shared connection which made my telephone line traffic more than my Senior Creditor Accounts Manager with the outmost pleasure.
- At most times I would reconcile the petty cash and or be assisted by my second in command Senior Creditor Accountant so that I would conduct petty cash deposits usually on Fridays preferably just before the busy hours of lunchtime.
- During the high-pressure end of the month times my Senior Creditor Accounts Manager would trust me enough and open up the banking portal with her access privilege on her computer and teach me how to navigate the banking platform so that I would enter all final supplier invoice payments to be then authorised by our Finance Director.
